About the Conference
Industry 4.0, the ongoing fourth industrial revolution, is starting to make a big impact in the industrial world. The early adopters are starting to reap the benefits in several different ways and real-life case studies are slowly emerging in the open for others to emulate. These developments are also having a synergistic effect on domains like Non-destructive Evaluation and Inspection Industry’s continued and increasing demand for safety, reliability and productivity combined with the usage of newer materials and manufacturing processes, innovative and complex designs of components and structures for higher efficiencies has brought in a lot of focus and attention on the need for better inspection at every step of the process. Industrial inspection using Non-destructive Evaluation (NDE) has undergone a phenomenal change in the way they are being developed, adopted, deployed and implemented in today's world.
The evolution of NDE 4.0 as a subset of Industry 4.0 focusing on the recent advances and trends in the domain of NDE and Inspection is gaining pace globally. The adoption of Digitization, Digitalization, and Digital Transformation suitably enabled by Robotics, Drones, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IIOT, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Data Analytics, and Digital Twins will revolutionize the industrial inspection world with great impact and benefits. While each one of these is contributing to various advantages, it is the holistic synergies between these multidisciplinary areas which is the true disrupting element for the entire lifecycle of Industrial Inspection be it at the manufacturing stage in the shopfloor or during asset operations after installation.
The International Conference on NDE 4.0 is a new series initiated by the ICNDT’s Special International Group on NDE 4.0. The First Conference in this series was held in virtual mode during 14/15 & 20/21 April 2021 and the Second Conference in the series was held in Berlin during October 24-27, 2022. Both were hosted by DGZfP – The German Society for NDT and was well attended and appreciated. With the stage being adequately set by the earlier two conferences, we are now embarking on the Third Conference in the series to be held in Bengaluru, INDIA during March 3 to 6, 2025. For the first time this conference will also feature an Exhibition displaying state-of-the-art products and services. The conference will provide a unique opportunity for all interested to attend, share knowledge, network and accelerate the adoption of NDE 4.0 in their respective industries.
